Shine Dión是在1993年成立的来自挪威第七大城市Skien(斯基恩)的二重唱组合，他们的音乐被认为是挪威和爱尔兰民谣的结合体，在音乐中经常使用很多乐器：小提琴、风笛、萨克斯、曼陀林(类似中国的琵琶)、三角铁、美乐特朗(一电子琴) 、木吉他。其中Janne Hansen(很温暖的女声)是主唱兼歌词创作，Per Selor则主作曲和吉他弹奏。他们的音乐结合了挪威和爱尔兰的民歌曲调
Shine Dion歌曲的灵感通常都是来自挪威当地的神话，传说及风土人情。他们的音乐成功实现了古典和现代的结合， 从中我们可以感受到田园般的宁静，灵魂的脆弱，及时间的无涯。

★The Well
By an old drinking well on the grass so green
I lay down and fell into a dream
By a strange mellow sound from a silver eyed bird
I opened my eyes but said no word
On the pathway came walking a woman so bold
Behind her in silence went the old
Ahead ran the children with joyful cries
Their faces were lifted to the skies
The woman's hair was raven and black as the night
Covered with stars shining bright
As they passed by the well I saw that their eyes
Were flaming like many coloured ice
They passed by the well like a breeze pure and clean
Soon they were nowhere to be seen
When I woke up alone on the grass so green
I looked into the well to catch the dream
The water was rising and I felt a chill
I willed the water to be still
There was a face in the mirror like a face out of time
The eyes held a shimmery shine

She was a silent white rose
who lived in a tall iron tower
Barefoot she wandered in her room
dreaming of life and a lover
And in a night she threw a net
into the ocean wide and deep
And some of the things she caught in there
made her sad and made her weep
A fiery warmth embraced her heart
when sunrays caught her hair
And then she looked upon the world
her longing got hard to bear
She was locked in an iron tower
with windows but no doors to be found
Often she listened hard at night
for a voice in the ocean\'s sound
And voices was mingling with her own
waves were singing,flee the tower
By the stairway that takes you down
follow the ocean\'s song my flower
Silent the rose went down
she was shivering in the dark and the cold
Through in an opening in the wall
the ocean sang as fortold
Floating upon the warm blue sea
by the waves to a shore she was led
Among the trees red roses grow
and the white rose turned to red...
